Black & Redcurrants - Stew gently, puree & strain to make a coulis for ice cream or eat as they are with a dash of sugar.
Loganberries - Later varieties come into season from Scotland during August.
Tayberries - Similar to blackberries & can be used for summer puddings & sweet desserts. Later varieties come into season from Scotland during August.
Gooseberries - Small early gooseberries perfect for pies & chutneys. Sweetened gooseberry puree is a good accompaniment for roast pork or barbecued spare ribs.
Nectarines & Peaches - Bursting with sweetnes & flavour during summer months.
Melons - Charentais, Galia, Ogen, Cantaloupe & Hoeydew are at their peak.
Mango - At their best in July.
